Ellie has been telling everyone who asked her that she was NOT excited about going to a new preschool, that she did NOT want to make new friends, and that she did NOT want to learn new things. I'm not sure where all this came from...I think she just really liked her old school. But I knew this one was going to be a much better fit for her. And, of course, she was all smiles once we got there and was already telling everyone "Hi! I'm Ellie!" and making friends right off the bat.

Ellie likes that she gets to sit at a real desk.

Josie didn't want to leave her sister!

Josie is checking out one of the 3 themed playrooms. This one was Ellie's favorite when we visited earlier this year.

Last night, we read "The Kissing Hand" outside in the playhouse as a special bedtime story. It's about a little raccoon named Chester who is hesitant about starting his first day of school. So Mama raccoon gives him a kiss right in the palm of his hand for Chester to take with him to school and remember that his "mother's love would go with him wherever he went. Even to school." Right before we walked out the door today, Ellie held up her little palm waiting for her kiss...so sweet. :)

I sure love that little girl and can't believe that this time, next year, we'll be doing this again for Kindergarten!
